Construction of Shahrekord's Largest Urban Square

Shahrekord – The mayor of Shahrekord said building the city's largest urban square is a solution for easing traffic congestion and providing parking for Kashani Hospital.

According to Mehr reporter, Mohammad Hossein Vahidian, in the 442nd session of the Shahrekord Islamic Council, stressed the readiness of the municipality to cooperate in solving the problems of medical centers, using the capacity of urban land and the Revolution sports complex as possible solutions to provide parking for hospitals and reduce traffic problems in this area.

Appreciating the efforts of managers and employees of the health sector, especially in the current difficult situation, Vahidian said: the managers who are responsible in this situation are trying to continue providing services to the people, and the city management group, understanding the existing concerns, is ready to cooperate within the framework of legal regulations to solve the problems of health centers.

Referring to the necessity of assigning assignments for the construction and real estate files of the University of Medical Sciences, he added: "It is expected that this collection will provide the basis for reviewing and assigning assignments in the legal authorities by completing the documents and organizing the urban planning files." The municipality is also ready to facilitate the process of reviewing cases in order to remove the existing obstacles in the way of providing and developing medical services.

The mayor of Shahrekord stated that the goal of city management is not just to collect fees and clarified: the files of the centers providing public and medical services should be reviewed by an expert and if the documents are completed, the necessary legal procedures to determine their duties should be followed in the relevant authorities.

Further, referring to the lack of parking in the hospital area, Vahidian considered the Revolution sports complex as one of the important capacities for investigating the solutions for providing parking and said: suggestions for using the existing land capacity, creating multi-level parking and using underground spaces have been proposed, which, if realized, can help to reduce the parking problems of hospital visitors, improve access and organize traffic in this area.

Emphasizing the necessity of the participation of the responsible institutions in the implementation of these plans, he noted: the University of Medical Sciences, the municipality, the General Directorate of Roads and Urban Development, the General Directorate of Sports and Youth and other related institutions should take action to achieve an implementation solution by examining experts and specifying the responsibility of each group. The municipality is ready to review the proposals related to the provision of land and the creation of the necessary infrastructure in order to use the existing capacities to solve the problems of the city and medical centers.

The mayor of Shahrekord also said about the traffic problems and access restrictions around the medical centers: the requests of the University of Medical Sciences in the field of modifying the routes and facilitating the access will be reviewed in the traffic council after providing expert reasons, and if approved, the necessary measures to implement them will be put on the agenda.

In the end, Vahidian emphasized the necessity of accompanying the executive bodies to solve urban issues and stated that the city administration is ready to cooperate to remove the obstacles of medical centers, improve the access of citizens and provide the necessary parking for hospitals, and the realization of these goals requires dialogue, continuous follow-up and serious participation of all responsible bodies.
