Tiny XTEINK X4 Pro Ebook Reader Hits Its Lowest Price Yet

The pocket-sized XTEINK X4 Pro packs every feature you want in an e-reader into one compact device, and it is now on sale on Amazon.

Our world is increasingly filled with colorful and bright screens that are hard to take your eyes off of. If you want to reduce your screen time, you may also want to increase your reading time. One of the easiest ways to do this is with a small e-reader like the XTEINK X4 Pro, which is currently on sale at Amazon for $84.15 (down from $99). This is a limited time deal, so it could disappear at any time. Let's see what this little device can do.

XTEINK X4 Pro is a small and easily pocketable e-reader. Its thickness is 5.95 mm and it weighs only 72 grams. The e-ink screen is 4.3 inches diagonally, which is large enough to read without straining your eyes. But the whole device is barely bigger than a credit card. It can even be magnetically attached to the back of your phone.

It has most of the features you'd expect in an e-reader in 2026. It has a dual color front light so you can read in low light (or no light) conditions. The e-ink display is easy to read in direct sunlight, just like the pages of a paper book. It has both a touch screen and physical buttons to turn pages forward and backward. And since e-ink displays require very little power, a single charge can last for weeks.

In terms of format, it supports EPUB, TXT, MOBI, PDF formats. You can load books onto it using the official app, the cloud, or a microSD card. This program can even convert e-books from different formats to a format viewable on the device.

It has buttons for home, power on/off, next page and previous page. The screen has a microSD card slot and a strap hole. It doesn't come with a charging cable, but it does come with an adapter that lets you use a USB-C charging cable to charge it, using a magnet to attach it to your device. It also has a magnetic loop that you can attach to the back of the device to stick to the back of your phone.

Once you get to the settings, you'll notice that this thing is incredibly customizable. You can change the function of the buttons. You can adjust things like font, line spacing, text size and brightness. You can switch to night mode and even set the color temperature to automatically turn on and off at certain times of the day.

Personally, I love reading paper books, but I have to admit that they aren't the easiest things in the world to carry around, especially if you don't want to bring a bag wherever you go. Even a Kindle is too big to carry on your person. That's where a device like this fits in, so you can carry a book (or folder full of books) with you wherever you go, even in the same pocket as your phone.

I also like the small screen size because it limits the number of words on a page. Sometimes, when I'm reading a textbook or a large hardcover, I don't find a wall of text on the screen visually appealing, especially if the print is small. I'd look at a page like that and think, "I'm never going to read all that"—and I was an English major. In the XTEINK X4 Pro, you will never have a terrible amount of text on the screen.

The best part about it is the size. Since it is very pocketable, you can take it with you wherever you go. Then, when you're in a situation where you'd normally pull out your phone and start scrolling, you can pull out the X4 Pro instead and read a few pages of whatever book you're reading.
