Saudi authorities have extended the closure of Riyadh International Airport until Saturday.
According to Ambassador Arjan, quoted by Reuters, the Saudi authorities extended the closure of the Riyadh International Airport until Saturday, and the airlines also announced the cancellation of their flights.
In this regard, the Saudi Civil Aviation Organization announced in a statement that the activities of King Khalid International Airport, the second busiest airport in the country after Jeddah Airport, have been suspended in order to provide the necessary opportunity to complete the measures related to ensuring the safety and operational readiness of the airport facilities.
This new decision of the Saudis was made following the missile attacks of the Yemeni armed forces.
Last night, Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, announced in a statement about the country's missile attack on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport.
Saree said in this statement: Yemeni armed forces targeted King Khaled International Airport with a ballistic missile.
