Nekonam: They don't want us to draw conclusions; Next time we will come with hopes

The head coach of Tractor Tabriz football team said: I don't want to make enemies abroad, but there are many people who don't want us to win.

According to Mehr's reporter, Javad Nekunam said in a press conference after the match against Al Shamal Qatar: Don't be tired and congratulate both teams. Also, I congratulate Shoja Khalilzadeh, the captain of the team, and I hope that the football youth of our country can use him as their role model. Shuja has worked hard for years.

He continued: We had a good analysis of the opponent, but we didn't have a chance to practice. In my opinion, we didn't give much chance to the opponent and one or two scenes that were created were related to the last quarter of the game. We knew we would have trouble in the final minutes due to the fatigue from the flight.

The head coach of Tractor pointed out: The substitutions did not work well and with the inappropriate performance of the substitute players, additional pressure was put on the team and we could not win. We should have taken the three points and we are sad about that. Just as we had a great performance in the last game of the league, we played a very good game in this match even though we were on the road for 18 hours or maybe more.

Stating that Tractor played a great game against Parmehra Shamal team, Nekonam said: This team has 11 foreign players. We controlled the game and had a good performance and created many scoring chances. We did not leave less; We shot and headed, but the balls did not enter the goal. The conditions were ready for victory, but unfortunately it did not happen.

He went on to emphasize his objection to the conditions of the tractor's journey and stated: I am expressing my objection once again. If these conditions continue, I have told the club officials that we will participate in next season's competitions with the Omid team and go to the field only to play games. The Football Federation does not care about our team; It's not as if we represent Iran's football. The events that happen in football are influential in determining the results. Unfortunately, we do not have a sponsor, and if the next flight is the same, we will come with Team Omid.

The head coach of Traktor added: "The players cannot afford such trips." Either we have to play in the Iranian league or here; No team in Iran can afford such a trip.

Nekonam emphasized: The conditions that have arisen are not consistent with the principles of fair play. The Asian Football Confederation should plan so that the teams can prepare for the matches with better conditions. If we were the host today in our own house, I say with strength and confidence that we would have won.

Referring to the hosting conditions of Tractor in this match, he noted: the stadium, the weather conditions, the flight and everything was in favor of the Qatari team and we were the hosts only on paper. We went through difficult situations. I tell my players not to be tired; They tried and fought hard. I hope the conditions will be improved for the next game.

The head coach of Tractor continued: As I said, the team played well and we should have won. We could have won against Esteghlal. The conditions were such that as the final minutes approached, the pressure caused by the distance and flight affected the players' bodies, and we knew that we would face problems at the end of the game. However, the team played superbly. Al-Shamal had played against Al-Ittihad one-on-one. We could have easily won. We checked the game and we hope the problems will be solved.

Emphasizing the need to support the tractor, Nekonam said: Help so that we can continue to talk about technical issues. Our team has shown its technical quality and capabilities. The children tried and we fought for the name of Iran. We defend the name of Iran and the Football Federation and the Ministry of Sports should help. We can only go so far without support and the current situation is not ideal.

In the end, he thanked the Tractor fans and said: I am grateful to the audience; The team was well received. Anyway, Tractor has fans all over the world, and even today fans came from far away cities and countries, for which I thank them. We are ashamed of the fans that we could not win. They definitely know what happened; One team travels directly and the other team has to travel 18 hours.

In the end, Nekonam noted: We are guests here and I don't want to become the enemy of Happy, but there are many inside who want us not to draw conclusions.
