FARAJA Launches Smart System to Identify and Impound High-Speed Vehicles

The head of the Traffic Police at FARAJA announced the launch of the smart Speed Management Alert System to identify vehicles at critical speeds online and to expedite stopping and enforcing the law against violating drivers.

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Colonel Siavash Mohebi, in explaining the actions of the traffic police, announced the launch of the "speed management notification" smart system with the aim of identifying and quickly dealing with drivers who put their lives and other road users at risk with critical speeds.

The head of the Faraja Highway Police stated: In this system, the violation recorded by the fixed cameras is sent online to the nearest patrol team equipped with handguns and the traffic police station on the route so that the officers can stop the offending vehicle in the shortest possible time.

Emphasizing the dangerous consequences of critical speeds, he added: Illegal speed at critical levels is not just a simple driving violation; Because with the increase in speed, the effective field of vision of the driver is more limited and the opportunity to make a decision and react appropriately is greatly reduced. In such a situation, even the advanced safety equipment of the car cannot guarantee the safety of the passengers.

Mohebi continued: As soon as a car passes at a critical speed in front of smart cameras recording traffic violations, the image of the car, the vehicle's specifications and the recorded speed will be sent to the nearest patrol team of the road police and the relevant police station.

He clarified: After receiving the information, the officers can identify and stop the offending car, impound it and apply the law according to the regulations. The purpose of this process is to prevent dangerous driving and to prevent future violations and possible accidents.

Referring to the other capabilities of this system, the head of the Faraja Highway Police said: the possibility of identifying and monitoring cars with distorted or stolen license plates, cars with judicial orders and vehicles without installed license plates is also provided in this system.

Mohebi added: By analyzing the route information, this system provides the possibility of estimating the time of the vehicle's arrival at the first patrol team, subsequent patrols, and the road police station, and will help in more accurate planning for the officers' intervention and dealing with accidents-causing violations.

Referring to the development process of the system, he pointed out: Currently, the axes of Tehran-Qom, Tehran-Central Province, Tehran-Hamadan, Azadrah Pelzal and part of the axes of Lorestan province are equipped with this system.

The head of Faraja Highway Police announced: According to the plan, within the next 10 days, the transportation axes of the provinces across the country will be equipped and operational with this system.

In the end, Mohebi emphasized: The main goal of the police is not simply to enforce the law, but to deal with traffic violations with the approach of deterrence and prevention of accidents. Adhering to traffic laws and regulations, especially avoiding critical speeds, is necessary to save the lives of citizens and increase the safety of road trips.
