Angie Nixon said she wants Florida Senator Ashley Moody locked up and punished in prison during an interview with CNN on Wednesday.
The Democratic candidate for the Senate demanded that the opponent of the Republican Party be locked up and sentenced to prison
Democrat Angie Nixon, who is running for the Senate in Florida, called for her Republican rival, Sen. Ashley Moody, to be "imprisoned" and "prisoned" in an interview with CNN on Wednesday.
Florida Democratic Senate candidate Angie Nixon said Wednesday that she wants her Republican challenger, Sen. Ashley Moody, R-Fla., to be jailed.
"The fact remains that Ashley Moody is a liar, a cheat, a thief and a fraud who basically took $10 million from sick kids for the Medicaid program," Nixon told CNN anchor Cassie Hunt. He also voted to end health care for more than 440,000 people in the state of Florida. "And they're putting out a lot of misinformation and lies in the ads about me saying that I'm going to abolish prisons and I'm going to defund the police."
The Democratic Senate candidate then said, "Why would I want to do that when I want him to be imprisoned and punished in prison for what he's done?"

Confirming Nixon's words, Hunt asked a follow-up question: "You want to lock up your Republican opponent?"
He replied, "Basically, yes. Because of what he did, yes. I would absolutely love for that to happen. Yes."
Nixon conducted the interview alongside Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., who ignored Nixon's comments.

DNC lawsuit accuses Trump administration of diverting $20 million in federal funds for "advertising"
"What we've seen, right, what we've seen is that the DCA [District Court of Appeals], the first DCA here, has decided to kill the release of the grand jury report, and the first DCA judge was actually appointed by Ron DeSantis. And what we're seeing is corruption. And so, I'm definitely going to want an investigation as a federal law when I'm elected as a federal legislator. It's happened that people are angry, we don't know. How many children would potentially die because that $10 million didn't go where it was supposed to go.
Nixon also described Modi as a "rubber stamp" for President Donald Trump.
Nixon added: "And so, we need to make sure that we put people in Washington, D.C., who actually support everyday hard-working Floridians. I will demand a full investigation into what Ashley Moody and they have done. Yes, definitely."
Representative of the Islamic Republic: Increasing democracy with DSA links "Either a socialist is smart, or he is not very smart."
Nixon, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), defeated incumbent Alexander Windman in the Democratic primary earlier this year.
Despite his DSA affiliation, Nixon told NBC News in August that he was not a socialist.
Nixon said he joined DSA because it supported public housing, health care, helping homeless veterans and getting big money out of politics, but he rejected Moody's description of his political identity.
"Ashley Moody knows I'm not a socialist," Nixon said. "I joined DSA because I believe in them in terms of fighting for decent public housing, and also fighting for quality health care, and also making sure that we get our veterans off the streets, get big money out of politics, right?"
Modi has not been charged in connection with the Florida Hope settlement controversy and has denied wrongdoing.
