FIFA's $6 Billion Football Development Proposal: How Much Will Each Federation Receive?

FIFA plans to allocate unprecedented financial resources for football development worldwide, drawing on commercial revenues from the World Cup. If approved, the plan would increase financial aid to national federations and continental confederations and could provide new funding for expanding infrastructure and football activities.

Ambassador Arjan - Sports Group: FIFA plans to present a proposal to its council, according to which, between 2027 and 2030, more than 6 billion dollars will be distributed for the development of football around the world. In a report, Athletic announced the possibility of significant payment by FIFA to member federations and confederations. Based on this, FIFA is expected to contribute more than 6 billion dollars to the development of football between 2027 and 2030, which is more than double the amount previously considered for the same period. This means that member federations will receive $25 million each in this four-year cycle, $15 million more than the planned payment of $10 million. Also, each of the six football confederations is supposed to be given 99 million dollars. To cover this amount, FIFA will distribute more than $3.5 billion from its financial reserves based on the unprecedented commercial success of the 48-team World Cup. These proposals are going to be reviewed tomorrow (Thursday, October 23) by the FIFA Council, the main decision-making body of this organization.
