Doug Belgrade is leaving Netflix after more than two years as VP of Filmmaking. His exit, which was confirmed by the streamer, is part of today's major layoffs at Netflix.
Ironically, Belgrade was Dan Lin's first hire after a round of layoffs, when Lin replaced Scott Stuber and restructured Netflix's film department.
Before joining Netflix in May 2024, Belgrade spent 25 years under Amy Pascal as one of the presidents. After leaving, he formed 2.0 Entertainment and produced Gran Turismo and Bad Boys: Ride Or Die.
