Bandarlange- Deputy Governor of Hormozgan announced the resumption of executive activities of the Mehran Bridge project and said that the acceleration and completion of this important infrastructure project depends on the provision of financial resources and the payment of the contractor's claims.
Referring to the importance of Mehran Bridge, Ambassador Arjan Safar Sadeghipour said: "This bridge is one of the important projects of the province and one of the long-standing demands of the people of western Hormozgan, whose implementation has started since last years, but due to various problems, parts of the project remained half-finished for a long time."
He added: With the follow-ups carried out by the provincial management group and the country's transportation infrastructure construction and development company, the project implementation process has been reactivated.
Referring to the technical specifications of Mehran Bridge, the Deputy Director of Civil Affairs Coordination of Hormozgan Governorate said: This project has 20 spans of 22.5 meters and the bridge beams have been fully implemented.
Sadeghipour stated that the project had been halted since March of last year due to the problems of providing financial and credit resources as well as the demands of the contractor, and clarified: With the recent follow-ups carried out by the construction company and the provincial management group, the implementation of this project has been resumed after a few months of interruption.
He emphasized: The continuity of activity and increasing the speed of implementation of the Mehran Bridge project depends on the provision of the required financial resources, and we hope that with the provision of the necessary credits, the process of completing this important infrastructure project will be followed with greater speed.
