Tehran- The director general of meteorology of Tehran province announced the possibility of scattered showers in the northern regions of the province with the arrival of a rain system from Saturday and announced the wind and increase of clouds as weather phenomena in the coming days.

In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Hamidreza Sohri, explaining the weather situation in Tehran province in the coming days, announced the possibility of scattered showers in the northern regions of the province at the same time as the rain system arrives from Saturday.

The Director General of Meteorology of Tehran Province stated: Based on the analysis of synoptic patterns and the review of forecast maps, during the next five days, the sky of the province will be slightly cloudy to partly cloudy, and in some hours, an increase in clouds and wind is expected.

He added: During this period, in the highlands of the province, especially the upstream highlands, there is a possibility of scattered showers in some hours.

Referring to the state of air quality, Sohri said: Due to the absence of significant wind in high-traffic urban areas, especially the central and southern areas of Tehran, a relative decrease in air quality is not far from expected.

He continued: From the middle of Saturday, in the southern half and western regions of the province, moderate to relatively strong winds are expected in some hours, and there is a possibility of temporary dust in the southern and western border areas.

The Director General of Meteorology of Tehran Province noted: In the highlands, sometimes relatively strong to strong winds are expected, which can lead to a relative improvement of the air quality in the affected areas.

In the end, referring to the temperature changes of the province, Sohrki said: Today, a relative increase in temperature is expected, especially in the southern half and central areas of the province, and from Saturday, with the arrival of the rainy system, a gradual increase in clouds and scattered showers is expected in some areas, especially in the northern areas.
