Don't Forget to Build Furniture at Your Arc Raiders Outpost - It Unlocks Hundreds of Extra Storage Slots

Turns Out Decorating Your Home Is More Than Just Cosmetic.

It turns out that decorating your home away from home isn't just cosmetic.

The new Arc Raiders mail system arrived with the Frozen Trail update, and like many I'm sure, I pretty much ignored the furniture aspect of it. My mind was busy upgrading the outpost itself, building rooms, and trying to get an Emperor Modulator and Frigate Inductor to smooth out my gunsmith's bench and research. I wanted those cool new weapon upgrades like Explosive Bullets or Incendiary Bullets.

I assumed the whole outpost building furniture thing was a cosmetic feature, but I was wrong. Crafting furniture in Arc Raiders Outpost actually gives you hundreds of extra storage slots for items and weapons, and it's fairly easy to unlock, you just have to:

Reach level 18 to start the Sheltered Retreat project.

Donate some materials, including boards and sheet metal.

After that, you can go home, recycle all the clothes boxes to get some boards and start crafting furniture.

Choose an empty furniture slot in your main outpost, or add some by building a new room.

Each piece of furniture you build has a listed number of slots.

Right click on the piece of furniture and select "Decorate" to place items on it.

There are shelves and guns, shelves that are attached to the walls, but also standing furniture on which you can place things.

Just like in your pantry, you can put whole stacks of items on the furniture.

To quickly restore all saved items to your inventory, just right-click on the piece of furniture and select "Clear All Attachments".

You can find more designs for furniture in the world, usually in residential areas - I've found tons in Old Town Pendula Pass. If you take full advantage of the three rooms your outpost offers and fill them completely with furniture, it will give you extra storage space.

Arc Raiders is finally giving players the chance to make Topside their home and I'm seriously hyped

When the weather turns bad in Arc Raiders Pendula Pass, take a trip to a Storm Shack—they're some of the best loot spots I've found.

Arc Raiders 2.0 is here, and you can finally turn off the lights on your backpack

The only problem right now is that you can't change the rooms and layout of your post after it's built, so choose wisely.
