Alireza Motamedi, playwright and director of "Sons of Fereydoun," addressing the controversies surrounding his play's staging at Talar-e Vahdat, including the simultaneous staging of four Shahnameh-themed plays: "Sons of Fereydoun," "Siavash" (Hossein Parsaei), "Arash" (Ali Sarabi) and "Kurosh" (Nader Borhani-Marand), says: "Some of those who attack on Instagram in this field, which has now become begging for likes, and you to any...
Alireza Motamedi, the playwright and director of "Sons of Fereydoun", referring to the margins created before the performance of his work in the Vahdat Hall, including the margins related to the simultaneous performance of four plays centered on "Shahnameh" at the same time; "Pesran Fereydoun", "Siavash" (Hossein Parsai), "Arash" (Ali Sarabi) and "Koresh" (Nader Burhani Marand) says: "Some of these people who run in this Instagram arena, who are now begging for likes and you attack anyone, you get the most likes, are people who have a history in theater. They are used to receiving subsidies."
According to Ambassador Arjan Alireza Motamedi, the playwright and director of "Sons of Fereydoun", referring to the margins created before the performance of his work in the Vahdat Hall, including the margins related to the simultaneous performance of four plays centered on "Shahnameh" at the same time; "Sons of Fereydoun", "Siavash" (Hossein Parsai), "Arash" (Ali Sarabi) and "Koresh" (Nader Burhani-Marand) say: "Why should there be a border at all? Why the simultaneity of three Shahnameh and mythological shows should worry some people? If you, I mean the same people, if you were and are worried about the Shahnameh, now you should welcome that this has happened. It hasn't happened until now, it was very wrong that it didn't happen. Now it is good that this has happened and should be welcomed. We have to let the works come on stage, see if they succeed or fail, if they connect or fail, and what happens to them. We make everything a conspiracy and trick for everything with our stereotyped and simplified minds, and we don't even realize that we have been in war and unnatural conditions for the past year and a half.
He continues: "Our show was supposed to be performed last year. Last year, we sat down with Emad Ameri, the producer, talked and started the designs. Then various things happened; There was a 12-day war, then the events of January, then there was a war until we started this work. The same thing that is on stage now, the agreement was not signed yet. Three months have passed since the state of emergency in the country was lifted and permission was given to hold the event in the hall due to the support of the National Security Council and we started this work. People forget what world they live in and where they came from. Factory settings will be restored immediately. They think that now we were in a safe and prosperous world where everything was according to routine and everyone had work ready to do. Why was Vahdat Hall given to the director of the first show? There was no one who had a show to take there. Has anyone stopped anyone to come to Vahdat, give a text, have a producer, pay for it and put it on stage? Some of these people running on Instagram, who are now begging for likes and you attack anyone, you get the most likes, are people who have a background in theater. They are used to getting subsidies. They have owned theaters for years and some of them have produced several Shahnamehs. "Which work have they produced that will be remembered by the audience?"
