Lavrov will travel to Tehran on Monday

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, announced that the Foreign Minister of this country, Sergey Lavrov, will visit Tehran on Monday, October 27, and will meet and talk with Abbas Araghchi.

Ambassador Arjan-International Group: Zakharova said in a press conference: "Sergei Lavrov will talk with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during this business trip."

According to Zakharova, Lavrov will also meet with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Dacic this Friday. The Russian Foreign Minister will also participate in the ninth round of strategic dialogue between Russia and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council in Bahrain on October 18 (October 26).

The new Consul General of Iran in Kazan met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs before leaving for the mission. Araghchi emphasized on strengthening economic, cultural and scientific cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.

In a telephone conversation with Iran's foreign minister, the Russian foreign minister expressed his condolences over the death of an Iranian sailor in the Ukrainian drone attack on the merchant ship "Ana".

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, referring to the recent developments in the region, considered America to be the main cause of insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized Iran's determination to defend national security. The two sides also discussed bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
