Pezeshkian's Message Delivered to Aliyev | Azerbaijani President Responds

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, meeting with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, stressed the importance of continued cooperation between Tehran and Baku across various fields, particularly security and maintaining public order, and expressed hope that the visit of the Iranian Interior Ministry delegation to the country will be successful.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in a meeting with the Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iskander Momeni, emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation between Tehran and Baku in various fields, especially security and maintaining public order, and expressed hope that the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Interior of Iran to this country would be successful.

According to Ambassador Arjan, quoted by Ambassador Arjan of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azertaj), during this meeting, Aliyev emphasized the importance of maintaining high-level cooperation between the two countries in all fields, especially in the field of security and maintaining public order.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Interior of Iran will be successful and considered this trip in line with the continuation of bilateral contacts and consultations between the two countries.

He also mentioned the recent trip of a delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iran and the important meetings held during it.

Iskander Momeni, while thanking Aliyev for welcoming him, said that he is happy to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan, a friend and brother country of Iran.

The Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Iran conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Iran, Masoud Al-Aliyev, to Ilham Aliyev.

Aliyev thanked for this message and asked the Minister of the Interior of Iran to convey his greetings to Masoud Bizikian as well.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan also noted that he has met with the President of Iran several times in recent times and mentioned his meeting with him in Turkmenistan a few days ago.

The Minister of Interior of Iran emphasized that the President of Iran attaches special importance to the development of relations between the relevant institutions of the two countries.

Referring to the friendly and brotherly relations between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Momeni once again appreciated the humanitarian aid and support of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Iran during various incidents, including severe earthquakes and forest fires.

The Minister of Interior of Iran also briefed the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the ongoing negotiations aimed at reducing regional tensions.

Ilham Aliyev also expressed hope that the current tensions in the Middle East region will be resolved through negotiations.

In this meeting, the parties also discussed the prospect of cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries and other matters of mutual interest.

On the official invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart, the Minister of Interior has gone to Baku to meet the officials of this country.

Meeting and talking with the Minister of Interior Ayuzaf and some other officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan is one of the plans of Dr. Momeni's trip to this country.

In this trip, the Minister of the Interior is accompanied by Sajdinia, the head of the country's crisis management organization, Emami Yeganeh, the governor of Ardabil, Haqshanas, the governor of Gilan, Rezazadeh, a member of the parliament's national security and foreign policy commission, Khajenejad, advisor to the minister and the head of the information center, and Javaheri, the advisor to the minister and the head of international affairs of the Ministry of Interior.
