UEFA is considering a heavy punishment/historic sentence against City: 10 years ban in Europe!

It seems that Manchester City is going to face a very heavy sentence from UEFA.

According to "Sports Three", Manchester City may be banned from European football for up to 10 years. Cesar Augusto Londono, a Colombian sports journalist, published this news on the X social network. This will be a sporting and economic disaster for this top English club.

According to Londono, UEFA is considering banning Manchester City from all European competitions for seven to 10 years. The condition for this is the confirmation of the conviction for multiple financial violations, even after an appeal. As a result, the club will not participate in either the Champions League, the Europa League or the European Conference League for many years.

This happened after a big financial scandal. In late September, Manchester City were found guilty of numerous breaches of financial regulations. The club is said to have breached Premier League and UEFA rules in 114 of the 115 charges. The main focus is on potential violations between 2009 and 2018. The club is accused of not properly submitting sponsorship contracts and concealing financial transactions.

Manchester City has denied all charges and appealed against the ruling. Therefore, it is not yet clear what punishments await this club. In addition to the possibility of being banned from European competitions, more severe sanctions are also being considered at the national level. In this regard, a heavy fine, a deduction of up to 60 points or even forced relegation from the Premier League is considered. If the report about the possible punishment by UEFA is true, this Premier League club will face a several-year absence from the European football scene.
