The Young Bond Series: SilverFin Part 1 is set to kick off a new series of James Bond audio dramas based on the Young Bond series novels. The story takes place during Bond's youth and when he studies at Eton College; The period that depicts a part of his life and the formation of his personality before he became a legendary agent of the British Intelligence Agency.

This audio drama is produced in the form of 16 half-hour episodes and is going to be released in the form of two box sets. To mark the release date, Big Finish has released an image of Isaac Rouse in a 1930s-inspired school uniform on the grounds of Eton College; The costume that shows the appearance of young James Bond in this adaptation.

Charlie Higson, the author of the first five novels of the Young Bond series, is also involved in the production of this project. In addition to working as a consultant, he has voiced the character of Michael Marriott; A teacher at Eton College who guides Bond through his youth.

Higson started the series of Young Bond novels with SilverFin in 2005 and ended his work in this series in 2009 with Young Bond By Royal Command. After that, Steve Cole took over the responsibility of continuing the series and wrote four more novels. The most recent book in this series, Young Bond: Red Nemesis, was published in 2017.

Along with Isaac Rouse, the cast of this series includes well-known faces. Charlotte McBurney as Wilder Lawless, Miriam Margulies as Click McSawney, Harry Marcus as Red Kelly and Christopher Nathan as George Hellebor. Also voiced by William Hope as Lord Hellbor, Patterson Joseph as Dr. Perseus Friend, Tim McInerney as Uncle Max and Miranda Reason as Aunt Charmian.

The release of this audio collection comes at a time when fans are still waiting for the next James Bond actor to be revealed in the cinema.
