Ukrainian Forces Attempt to Blow Up Russian Command Post Using Captured Soldier
According to this Russian officer, an anti-tank mine has been strapped to the chest of a captured Russian soldier.
Donetsk, October 12. /TASS/. Andriy Weinberger, the company commander of the Kader-1642 unit of the center of Russian combat groups, said in an interview with TASS that Ukrainian soldiers tried to blow up a command and observation base of a Russian company using a captured Russian soldier.
According to him, an anti-tank mine was attached to the chest of the captured Russian soldier.
The commander said: "We were on a combat mission and we were setting up the company's command and observation post in a forest belt. Using Mavic drones, we saw that a fighter without body armor and military uniform of the allied unit was approaching. He had a mine T (anti-tank mine) on him."
The approaching soldier turned out to be a fighter from a Russian unit captured by Ukrainian forces. Ukrainian armed forces were monitoring him from the air. According to this commander, the mine-carrying soldier offered the Russian fighters who had maintained their positions to surrender and threatened that otherwise the mine would be detonated remotely. This commander added: At this moment, the enemy started attacking our positions from FPV and Baba Yaga drones.
He clarified that the "human bomb" escaped and the Russian soldiers survived thanks to their strong positions.
Earlier, a fighter with the call sign Zemlyak told TASS that Ukrainian forces had begun using Russian prisoners as human bombs, sending them to Russian positions with mine collars equipped with GPS transmitters. According to defense sources, militiamen from the Azov Battalion (known as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia), the 36th Marine Brigade and the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are among the prisoners of war. Russians use it as a human bomb.
