Quds: Why Does Jalili Advise Avoiding Discord Yet Take No Clear Stance on Protests Against the Final Court Ruling and the Tension-Creating Behavior of Some of His Supporters?

Quds newspaper, criticizing Saeed Jalili's recent positions regarding the judicial conviction of MP Hamid Rasaei, emphasized that the call for unity becomes meaningful when it is accompanied by a clear stance against controversial behavior.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Astan Quds Razavi newspaper added in a note: Jalili, in a ceremony at the University of Tehran, pointed out the need to preserve unity and said that differences, even if they are justified, should not cause division and the forces of the revolution should overcome these issues.

Welcoming the principle of calling for unity, this newspaper raised the question why Jalili does not take a clear stance on the protests against the final judicial ruling and the tension-causing behavior of some of his supporters, along with the advice to avoid conflict.

In this note, it is emphasized that unity should not remain only as a recommendation, but should be accompanied by the acceptance of judicial rulings, the correction of past false claims, and the apology of those who fueled the differences.
