Special special nurses are paid until the end of the year

Nurses have always been at the work of people in various crises from Corona to imposed wars.

Nurses have always been at the work of people in various crises from Corona to imposed wars.

According to Ambassador Arjan, quoted from Iran, according to the head of the country's nursing system, about 20,000 to 30,000 nurse warriors were present in the recent war, and the nursing community has sacrificed 24 martyrs in the recent war. This statistic is separate from the nurses who lost their loved ones during the war days or are also busy providing service in the health system to nursing veteran family members. However, during the crisis days in the health system, nurses were never closed and never stopped working.

Referring to the war conditions in the country, Ahmad Nejatian, the head of the nursing system, announced the training of nurses to face possible biological and chemical attacks and said: "The government has promised to implement special special payments to nurses and medical staff in the second six months of this year." Referring to the many efforts of the nursing community in the country's healthcare system, Nejatian said: "Currently, we are in a situation of neither war nor peace, while we are facing war and difficult economic sanctions."

Referring to the various examples of nurses' sacrifice and their martyrdom in different situations such as Minab, the head of the nursing system said: "Unfortunately, the children of nurses were also martyred in Minab and Shajre Tayyaba School." Najatian said: "Last year, it was agreed to increase the basic amount of nursing tariffs in two stages, each time by 100 percent, in order to compensate part of the livelihood problems of nurses; But in practice, the increase in nursing tariffs was about 67%. In contrast, according to him, some other groups received increases of 100 percent and in some cases 120 percent.

The head of the nursing system organization stated that we have pursued this issue through correspondence with various institutions and officials and we will also raise our criticism publicly, saying: "Our wish is that there should be transparency in the distribution of resources of the health system and that the contribution of each department should be determined according to the responsibility, performance and degree of difficulty of the work."

Referring to the difference in the level of education and responsibility of different groups in the health system, Nejatian said: "Sometimes it is said that a doctor studied for 13 years, while the nursing education period is four years. This difference in the education path is a reality, but in the world, there are bases for the difference in the income of professional groups.

According to Nejatian, justice does not necessarily mean equality of income, but a person who makes more effort, has more responsibility or is exposed to more risks, should have more income in proportion to these conditions. However, in our opinion, the ratio of payments in Iran is not reasonable, and global experiences should be used to correct it.

Referring to the nurses' arrears, the head of the nursing system organization said: "At the end of October, the nurses are still receiving the tariffs related to March last year. Although the payment situation has improved in some universities, receiving last year's demands with a delay of several months and in inflationary conditions reduces the real value of these amounts. If the amounts of tariffs for March were paid at the right time, it could have a greater effect on the living conditions of nurses, but late payment will reduce the real value of the receipts."

Referring to the 67% increase in nursing tariffs this year, Nejatian said: "When the base amount is low, a percentage increase does not necessarily mean a significant increase in income. For example, an increase of six or seven tomans to around 10 tomans, although it seems a significant increase in terms of percentage, may not make a big change in the living situation of the nurse in terms of the final amount.

According to Nejatian, the two main problems of nursing tariffs are the low amounts and the lack of transparency in the way of distribution. "The current formula, despite efforts to reform it, is still not completely transparent," he said. In the current situation, a nurse may not know why he received a certain amount in one month and his salary changed in the next month, it is also not clear why the amount of payment is different in different departments.

This situation shows that the mechanism for calculating and distributing tariffs should be made clearer." The Director General of the Nursing System Organization explained: "The Nursing System Organization has submitted its proposed formula to the Ministry of Health to make the method of distributing tariffs more transparent, and we hope that by modifying this mechanism, nurses will be able to be aware of the basis of their received calculation."

The head of the nursing system organization announced the pursuit of the reform of the law of this organization in the parliament and said: "About 25 years have passed since the approval of the law of the nursing system organization, and during this time, the conditions of the country and the nursing profession have changed a lot, so the law reform has become necessary. The issue of amending the law was examined in the Supreme Council of the organization and was registered as a plan in the parliament. We hope that this plan will be announced as soon as possible and that the amendment of the law will come to fruition in this parliamentary term."
