The production process of the second season of HBO's Harry Potter series has entered a new stage and now new information has been released.

The Harry Potter collection is considered one of the most valuable assets in the world of entertainment and has always maintained its place in Hollywood. Now, HBO, which is known for adapting fantasy works, has gone to this series to tell its story with a new and different narrative.

Riff Spall, who plays Ron Weasley's father Arthur Weasley in the new adaptation, revealed important information about the production process of the second season of the Harry Potter series in an interview with Deadline. The new season depicts the story of the second book in the series, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Spall's words seem to confirm that one of the important scenes of this story has already gone in front of the camera.

Spall said about participating in this project and working with other actors:

I feel really lucky to be part of a project with so many creative and incredibly talented people; People who are all working at the highest level of their ability. There are many good actors in this series. Katherine Parkinson and I play the parents of the Weasley family, and in my opinion, she is one of the best actors in the world. It is really wonderful. A few days ago me, him, Kit Harington and Johnny Flynn were on a scene together and we had a really fun experience.

The scene mentioned by Spall is related to Gildroy Lockhart's book signing; One of the most memorable moments of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets takes place in Flourish and Blatts bookstore in Diagon Alley. Lockhart, portrayed by Kit Harington in the HBO adaptation, is a famous writer who later temporarily teaches Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. During the ceremony, he recognizes Harry Potter played by Dominic McLaughlin in the crowd and invites him to take a photo.

Draco Malfoy played by Lux Pratt and his father Lucius Malfoy played by Johnny Flynn are also present in this scene. They mock Harry, Hermione, and the Weasley family. Lucius and Arthur continue to face each other, and Lucius insults all the members of the Weasley family, calling them a disgrace to the name of witchcraft. This conflict leads to a serious argument.

The importance of this scene is not limited to the confrontation of two families; Because Lucius secretly puts Tom Riddle's diary into Ginny Weasley's cauldron. This action has very important consequences in the continuation of the story and is considered one of the key events of the second book.

With the implied confirmation of the presence of this scene in the production process, it seems that the filming of the second season of the Harry Potter series is proceeding at a decent pace. The official release date of the second season has not yet been announced, but the first season of this series is scheduled to be released on December 25th (December 4th) through HBO Max.
