Adult Swim network released the first teaser of the second season of the animated series Common Side Effects. This psychological thriller is a comedy about a mysterious fungus with the power to cure almost any disease.

The release of the first teaser of the second season of Common Side Effects has once again drawn attention to one of the most different animations for adults in recent years. By combining black humor, suspense and a critical look at the world of pharmaceutical companies, this series forms a story in which a scientific discovery can have consequences beyond imagination. In the following, we will have a look at the details of the new season and the events that await the characters after the end of the first season.

The story of Common Side Effects is about Marshall, a mushroom expert, who discovers a mysterious mushroom called "Blue Angel"; A mushroom with the power to cure almost any disease and even bring people back from the dead. But this discovery, instead of being easily revealed to the public, involves Marshall and his old friend Francis in a vast conspiracy. The US Drug Enforcement Administration, big pharmaceutical companies and people with economic and political interests are all seeking to control this discovery.

The second season continues the story after the final events of the first season; Where Marshall and Francis, after escaping, are in the California desert and are still wanted by agents. Meanwhile, Agent Harington tries to find Marshall, and his colleague, Copano, takes a different route after recovering from his injuries. The consequences of the attack on the farm where the blue angel mushroom was cultivated and the competition of different groups to obtain this material will also be important axes of the new story.

The series was created by Joe Bennett, creator of Scavengers Reign, and Steve Haley, writer of Veep. Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, creators of King of the Hill, also serve as executive producers on the project. Starring Dave King, Emily Pendergast, Martha Kelly, Joseph Lee Anderson and Mike Judge. The first season of Common Side Effects was critically acclaimed and won awards including a Peabody Award and four Annie Awards.
