Outlets Distributing Narcotic Drugs Sealed in Omidiyeh

Omidiyeh – The Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Omidiyeh said two violating retail units that were illegally distributing narcotic drugs under the cover of a medicinal herb store have been sealed by judicial order.

Omidiyeh - Omidiyeh General and Revolutionary Prosecutor said: Two criminal trade unions that were illegally distributing narcotic drugs under the guise of a medicinal plants store were closed by judicial order.

According to Mehr reporter, Reza Parsaei said before noon on Tuesday: After receiving reports about the illegal supply of addictive and psychoactive drugs, a judicial order was issued to inspect suspicious units.

He added: After the field investigation and joint inspection by the anti-narcotics police and the local police, the violation of these two trade unions was confirmed and significant amounts of methadone tablets and syrup along with tramadol tablets and capsules were discovered and confiscated.

Omidiyeh Public Prosecutor and Revolution stated: These trade unions did not have any legal license to buy, store and sell chemical drugs, and currently the case of the defendants is under investigation in the special branch of the city prosecutor's office.

While emphasizing the decisive action of the judicial system against the distributors of illegal drugs and narcotics, Parsaei asked the citizens: if they see any violation in this area, they should immediately report it to the judicial or law enforcement authorities of the city so that necessary measures can be taken.
