In a social media post on Sunday, President Trump said an energy ceasefire had been reached between Ukraine and Russia, which was "effective immediately."

Ukrainian President Zelensky responded by saying his country was willing to support an energy ceasefire if Russia did the same, adding that it could be a "big step towards ending the war".

However, Moscow has not confirmed its agreement, and Zelensky said Russia attacked a Ukrainian power plant in Kharkiv immediately after Trump's post over the weekend.
