We Will Take the Field at Our Maximum and Best Time: Atletico Defender Says United Is Without Doubt a Giant

At a press conference ahead of the Atletico–United match, David Hancko said Simeone's players show maximum respect for the Red Devils, but they are going out to win.

According to Sport Se, David Hanko, the Slovakian defender of Atletico Madrid, praised the strength of the English opponent and praised the quality of Atletico Madrid's new signings before the crucial battle with Manchester United in the second round of the European Champions League.

According to Sports Se, David Hanko was chosen today to accompany Diego Simeone in the press conference before the match between Atletico Madrid and Manchester United in the second week of the European Champions League. At the beginning of the meeting, the Slovak defender of Atlético mentioned the dream of reaching the finals of this tournament, which will be held at their home stadium, Metropolitano, and said: "Last year, we were close to the final stages, but the finals are still far away. We have to go step by step and slowly and get the necessary points in the group stage. "It will be fantastic to get to that final match at home, but there is still a long way to go."

He said about the team's mental state and preparation after the national games break: "The victory after the national games break was a very good thing and made us maintain our motivation and sense of progress despite the long break. Pablo's return to the team is very important news for us. We will try to continue this positive trend."

"We conceded that match, but at that point Manchester United still lacked a lot of players and tomorrow night's game will be a completely different match," Hanko recalled, referring to the friendly clash between the two teams in the summer pre-season camp. We are currently in a very good state of preparation, although it will be important to learn from that pre-season match. United is a high-quality team with high physical strength; "They are very strong in one-on-one battles and have a great ability to run, so we have to go into the field with the highest possible concentration."

"Our team is even better than last year and has more depth in the squad, especially with the additions of Grimaldo and Coty Romero," the Atletico Madrid defender said of the team's defensive belt strengthening in the summer window and coordination with new signings. Grimaldo is a very attacking full-back and has the ability to score goals, and Kuti is also a very experienced player; What can be said about him, being a teammate and playing with him is really enjoyable. Kuti works very cool and calm with the ball, he is extremely strong in duels and we understand each other perfectly on the field and complement each other."

In the end, he emphasized the originality and position of the English opponent: "United was the runner-up of the Premier League last season and has a lot of financial resources, so even though they did not have a good start this season, many positive things can be said about them." United have great players and there is no doubt that United are giants. "To win this match, we have to play with 100% of our strength, because we have to collect points from the first weeks of the competition."
