Opening of China-North Korea Road Bridge
A new four-lane road bridge connecting China and North Korea was finally opened on Thursday, after 12 years. The post on the opening of the China-North Korea road bridge first appeared on Safir Arjan.
According to Ambassador Arjan, hundreds of people gathered on Thursday in the border city of Dandong in northern China and took a souvenir photo in front of this 3026-meter bridge before its opening.
According to Ambassador Arjan Xinhua, China is North Korea's largest trading partner and its vital diplomatic and political supporter. To coincide with the opening of the road bridge, trucks carrying the flags of the two countries started moving in both directions on Thursday morning, and some North Korean vehicles were decorated with flowers.
A woman who came to watch said to the reporter of Ambassador Arjan: "It's great!" We in Dandong are happy to open this bridge. More than 10 years have passed. Surely this action will be good for business.
Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang said in this regard: This bridge is a symbol of Beijing's friendship with Pyongyang, and relations have entered a new stage and started a new chapter.
Through video communication at the opening ceremony, Li said: Thanks to the joint efforts of both sides, the successful opening of this bridge will not only greatly strengthen the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, but also facilitate people-to-people exchanges and strengthen the bonds of affection between the two nations.
Ambassador Arjan of South Korea also reported that the structure was completed in 2014, but its opening was delayed due to the lack of communication roads and customs facilities on the North Korean side.
