French AI CEO Warns Americans About Voting Democrats 'You Don't Want To Be France'
Brivael Le Pogam's viral post warned Americans against voting for Democrats, saying France's decades of progressive spending led to debt reduction and decline.
Brivael Le Pogam, co-founder and self-proclaimed "techno-emperor" of French AI company Argil, went viral on Tuesday for his X post, urging his American followers not to vote for Democrats if they want to avoid his country's fate.
"I'm French. I want to talk to Americans who want to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future," Le Pogham began his post.
He explained that under progressive politicians, France increased public spending to nearly 57 percent of the country's total gross domestic product to promote free healthcare, free college and a strong welfare system. However, the results have been disappointing.
Andy Bashir calls socialism a 'failed experiment' as polls show it more favorable than capitalism
It looks from the inside. France has not passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is over 3300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the largest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are crumbling despite record budgets. Our schools are ranked lower every year. Young people with degrees in London can't buy the best flats. Francisco and the rich you wanted to tax, they also left and took the jobs with them.
He warned his followers that France did not vote for decadence, but faced the consequences of 50 years of taxes and regulations, and encouraged Americans not to follow the same path.
DSA-Backed candidates are winning primaries and their visions for America are very different
"I love America because it's the only place on earth where people still believe they can make something out of nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most valuable thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: Will the program you're voting for make America more like America or more like France? Trust me.
Le Pogam's post quickly went viral and was shared by several conservative commentators, including billionaire hedge fund manager Bill Ackman.
"An important study of how to keep America from becoming France, from becoming French," Ackman wrote.
Le Pogham made several posts for his original comments, responding to accusations that "Democrats are not socialists" and that "America will never become France."
Over the past 25 years, he noted, products that receive government subsidies, such as health, education and housing, have increased in cost, while goods not funded by government tax dollars, such as phones or software, have only become more affordable.
I ran away from communism. America should not ignore the urgent warning signs
"It's a Trojan horse. It always works like that. A real problem. A generous promise. A plan that makes things worse. Then the failure of that plan becomes the argument for the next plan. The people who lived under these conditions. Communism in Poland learned to recognize a lie and a mask that lies. A lie never reveals itself to be a lie," wrote Le Pogham.
He added: "In France, we are at the end of that road. A debt we can never repay. Young people who cannot afford to buy a house. Our best people leave and every few years our cities burn. Nobody voted for this. They voted for another generous promise, fifty years in a row. If you're a Republican, share this with the Democrat in your life. Not to win an argument. To start the conversation, if you're a Democrat, I'm not asking you to switch teams. I want you to look at the pattern. Wherever the government took over, life became unbearable. Don't fix government failures with more government. stay american Ask for less, not more."
"In general, I support Republicans. "I believe their platform is now the one that best protects the dynamism, individual freedom and entrepreneurial spirit that makes America unique — and that Europe (especially France) has largely abandoned," Le Pogham said.
