New Ring Road Route Opens in West of Capital

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, Mehdi Sadaqati, CEO of Tehran Municipality's Engineering and Civil Engineering Organization, stated that on Saturday, October 25, 1405, parts of Shahid Sepahbad Mousavi (Dogaz) highway located in the west of Tehran will be put into operation, adding: This opening will be held in the form of 232 Mines of Hope and Pride Campaign of Tehran Municipality in the presence of Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani, Tehran Mayor's Technical and Civil Deputy Abbas Shabani, members of the Tehran Islamic Council and other city managers.

He added: The construction project of Shahid Sepahbad Mousavi highway (Dogaz) and related intersections was designed and implemented as one of the strategic bottlenecks in the highway network of the western part of Tehran metropolis, with the aim of completing the communication ring and facilitating regional access. Based on this, the completion of this project was placed as a construction priority in the agenda of the sixth period of urban management, in order to create a change in the smoothing of traffic in the west of the capital by using the technical ability of local experts. The construction of this highway project started in August 1403 and its implementation was divided into several stages.

Describing the parts that can be used in this step, Sedaghati said: this project has about 14.5 kilometers of access roads including multi-level intersections, and its implementation includes the main north-south highway routes with a total length of 21.5 kilometers in two sections between Kerman Khodro and Shahid Fahmideh Freeway and between Shahid Hamdani Highway and Shahid Kharazi Freeway with a width of 50 meters and return, the construction of the southern intersection of Shahid Fahmideh Freeway, 3 kilometers long and 12 meters wide, and The expansion of the southern expressway of Shahid Fahmideh freeway is 3 kilometers long and 13 meters wide, the construction of the southern expressway of Shahid Kharazi highway is 1 kilometer long and 9 meters wide, the construction of eleven bridges, the widening of the Darupakhsh underpass, the construction of ramps and loops for distribution and traffic management, the construction of walls and the implementation of the surface water collection and diversion network.

The CEO of Engineering and Civil Organization is in the final stage of the construction of the remaining main axis of Shahid Sepahbad Mousavi highway (Dugaz) between Shahid Fahmidah freeway and Shahid Hamdani freeway, which is 1.85 km long, the construction of the northern intersection of Shahid Fahmidah freeway, the implementation of four loops and two right-turn ramps along with the construction of Danesh bridge are in the work plan.

Sedaghati considered the balanced distribution of the traffic load in the western zone and the safe connection of arterial routes, the reduction of the entrance traffic of the Darupakhsh street underpass and the creation and completion of the local access chain to the neighboring scientific, academic and research centers as the effects of the implementation of this project.

Referring to the acquisition of about 74,000 square meters of land for the implementation of this part of the project, he mentioned high-voltage power towers, overhead power cables, electricity poles and poles, lighting poles, telecommunication towers, pipes and manholes, water pumps, culverts and pedestrian bridges as the opponents of this project.

The CEO of the Engineering and Civil Organization said about the project volume: 390,000 cubic meters of excavation, 57,000 cubic meters of embankment, 28,500 cubic meters of base and sub-base, 79,000 cubic meters of concrete rubble, 65,000 cubic meters of concreting, 11,500 square meters of formwork, 2,200 tons of reinforcement, 31,000 meters of tables and channels, 6,300 square meters of insulation, 350 meters of metal handrails, 22,000 tons of asphalt, 140 beam bases. and lighting concrete, 650 new jerseys and 15 direction signs have been implemented in this project.
