Rooney: What Good Is a Runners-Up Medal?

Wayne Rooney, former Manchester United forward and England national team player, once again spoke about Manchester City's championship titles.

According to "Verzeh Se", this 40-year-old former footballer emphasized that he is not willing to receive the English League championship medal if the championship titles are taken from this team. It should be remembered that Manchester City was found guilty of financial violations in the English league in the period of 2009-18.

"We finished second and didn't win the championship," Rooney said. Why should we accept the runner-up medal? It would be a shame for me to get another England League medal. We didn't try hard enough to win the championship that season. "I am satisfied with the five medals I have and I don't need these medals."
