According to the report of Arjan's ambassador from Mazandaran, Mazandaran governor Mehdi Younesi Rostami, in the meeting of electricity infrastructure development and consumption management in the presence of Rajabi Mashhadi, deputy minister of energy, pointed out the importance of preparing for the cold season of the year and stated: prevention and timely planning, along with empathy, interaction and cooperation of all sectors, are among the requirements for sustainable energy supply in the province.
Emphasizing the necessity of reforming the culture of energy consumption, he added: saving should become a general culture and all sections of society, from households and guilds to production units and residential centers, should actively participate in the management of electricity and gas consumption.
The governor of Mazandaran, referring to the actions taken in the area of the development of the electricity infrastructure of the province, stated: More than 10 large projects in the electricity transmission and super-distribution sector are being pursued, the implementation of which plays an important role in strengthening the network and increasing the stability of electricity supply.
Yonsi Rostami, referring to the state of power plants in the province, noted: Caspian power plant, which was out of service before, is on the path to improving conditions this year. Also, with the addition of two units to the Neka combined cycle power plant, the power generation capacity of the province has been strengthened, and in the distribution sector, corrective measures and improvement of conditions are being pursued.
Emphasizing the necessity of coordination between the executive bodies and the power industry, he said: consumption management should proceed with joint cooperation and coordinated planning in order to reduce the pressure on the grid and provide stable energy supply for different parts of the province.
The governor of Mazandaran, referring to the special conditions of the province in the field of tourism and accommodation of travelers, said: residences, residential centers and uninhabited villas should be given special attention in the framework of consumption management programs and necessary measures should be taken to prevent unnecessary energy consumption in these sectors.
Younesi Rostami also emphasized the necessity of accompanying guilds in the implementation of saving programs and added: consumption management in guilds and commercial units should be followed seriously so that the existing capacities can be used to reduce unnecessary consumption and maintain the stability of the network.
Referring to the government's approach in supporting the production sector, he said: Industry and employment are important priorities of the government, and consumption management programs should be implemented in such a way that, while saving energy, the activity of industrial and production units and the employment process in the province continue with minimal disruption.
The governor of Mazandaran continued: the implementation of joint programs for consumption management, increasing energy efficiency and strengthening electrical equipment and infrastructure should be followed simultaneously to provide the possibility of responding appropriately to the needs of consumers and the production sector.
Referring to the development of renewable energies in the province, Yonsi Rostami said: In order to increase the power generation capacity and strengthen the stability of the grid, a plan has been made to add 70 megawatts of solar power plant capacity in Mazandaran, and the realization of this goal can be effective in diversifying the sources of electricity generation and reducing the pressure on the grid.
He emphasized: safe passing of the cold season of the year requires the joint determination of the executive bodies, electricity industry, trades, production sector and people, and by modifying the consumption pattern, developing infrastructure and using the capacity of renewable energy, we can provide a more sustainable basis for energy supply in the province.
