Bandar Abbas - Deputy Coordinator of Civil Affairs of Hormozgan Governorate announced the progress of about 70% of the coastal corridor in the south of the country in Hormozgan Province.
According to Mehr reporter, Safar Sadeghipour, during his visit to the road construction projects in the east of Hormozgan on Friday afternoon, pointed out the strategic importance of the southern coastal corridor of the country and stated: This corridor starts from Shalamcheh and extends to Pasbandar in the Chabahar region and is about 1,800 km long, of which 838 km is located in the Hormozgan province.
He added: Out of the total route of the coastal corridor in Hormozgan, about 400 km is located in the west and 438 km in the east of the province, and so far about 70% of this route has been implemented.
The Deputy Coordinator of Civil Affairs of Hormozgan Governorate stated that most of the remaining roads are located in the east of the province and said: "With the follow-ups, the process of implementing projects in this sector is becoming more active and planning to accelerate the completion of the remaining parts is being followed seriously."
Referring to the operation of a part of the route in the west of the province until Fajr, Sadeghipour stated: 42 kilometers of the southern coastal corridor in the west of Hormozgan will be ready for operation by Fajr this year, which can be effective in improving access, improving traffic safety and strengthening road connections in the coastal areas of the province.
He considered the provision of financial resources as the most important factor in the speed of implementation of the remaining projects and noted: the main problem of these projects is not technical issues, but the limitation and delay in providing credits; In such a way that the trickle-down allocation of financial resources has slowed down the executive operations and increased the completion time of the projects.
Hormozgan governor's civil deputy emphasized: Considering the importance of this corridor in connecting coastal areas and its role in the development of transportation infrastructure in the south of the country, the timely provision of financial resources and the continuation of credit support is the main condition for accelerating the implementation of the remaining parts and completing this strategic route in Hormozgan.
