Sellers Flood the Market | 34,000-Point Index Drop Sounds the Alarm?
The stock market faced backlash from market participants after Trump's increasingly negative remarks about the war with Iran, triggering an index decline and capital outflows.
Economic Group - Mehdi Safai: In today's transactions, the power of suppliers and the selling pressure caused by the increased threat of starting a new wave of attacks against Iran by Trump resulted in a decrease in the total index by 34,770 units. With this drop, the total index reached eight million and 425 thousand units from the level of eight million and 460 thousand units.
It should be noted that before the widespread publication of Trump's statements, in the first minutes, the total index had recorded a rise of 17,000 points.
The total equal weight index, which had reached the level of 2,244,000 units in the first minutes, finally reached the level of 2,225,000 units with an increase of 5,770 units compared to the previous day.
