For the First Time, Three Areas in Semnan Province Recognized as the Country's Green Zones with Full Electricity Needs Met by Solar Energy

Ambassador Arjan: For the first time, three areas in Semnan province were introduced as green areas of the country with full supply of electricity from solar energy.

With the announcement of the Renewable Energy and Electricity Efficiency Organization (SATBA), for the first time, three regions in Iran with 100% of the consumed electricity from solar energy were introduced as the first green regions of the country; Areas that have transitioned from local dependence on clean electricity exporters to the national grid.

Statistics show that 17 megawatts of excess power is exported in Semnan province and Biarjomand city with 24 megawatts of capacity and 7 megawatts of consumption.

In Kalposh with 12 megawatts of capacity and 7 megawatts of consumption, 5 megawatts and in Mahdishahr with 18 megawatts of capacity and 15 megawatts of consumption, 3 megawatts of excess will be injected into the network so that a total of 25 megawatts of clean electricity from the 54 megawatts of these three points will go to the national circuit.

In addition to strengthening the passive defense and reducing the consumption of fossil fuels, this success is a practical model to resolve the dissatisfaction and start the formation of zero-carbon cities in the energy map of the country.
