Parliament Enters Case of Special Patients Fund Resources
The spokesperson for the Parliament Health Committee announced follow-up on reforming the allocation and management mechanism for the resources of the Special and Catastrophic Illnesses Fund.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report, quoted by Khane Mellat, Salman Ishaghi, while describing the webinar meeting of the Parliament's Health and Medical Commission, said: In this meeting, the issue of reforming the mechanism of allocation and management of funds for special and incurable patients was seriously pursued.
He added: In this regard, the report of the National Court of Accounts regarding the allocation and transfer of credits of this fund was reviewed, based on which, despite the provision of 15 thousand billion tomans of credit for the fund in the budget law of 1405, flaws such as not fully using the anticipated revenue capacities, notifying part of the credits to the Social Security Organization and transferring the funds of the fund under the credits paid to the Iran Health Insurance Organization without creating an independent account were identified.
Ishaghi clarified: Due to the non-observance of legal measures in the transfer of fund resources, it was decided to refer the matter to the Court of Audit.
The spokesperson of the Parliament's Health and Treatment Committee continued: It was also decided that the Court of Accounts of the country, emphasizing the necessity of the independence of the special and incurable patients fund resources from the credits of the Iran Health Insurance Organization, will continue its pursuits until the reform of the allocation and transfer of credits mechanism and ensuring that resources are allocated to the goals of the special and incurable patients support law.
