Internet Companies Not Permitted to Charge Passengers Municipal Fees

A bill setting fees for the use of roads by smart passenger service providers from 1405 was reviewed and approved by a majority vote.

The bill for determining the price of services for the use of roads by companies providing intelligent passenger services was reviewed and approved with the maximum number of votes in favor.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Seyyed Jafar Tashri Hashemi, in the 438th meeting of the Islamic Council of Tehran, during the review of the bill on determining the price of services for the use of crossings by companies providing smart passenger services since 1405, stating that this bill has been reviewed by the commission and amendments have also been made, he stated: Tehran Municipality is allowed to use the information entered in the SMS system and with the information received from the companies for each trip made since the approval of the bill. by the fleet covered by smart passenger service provider companies to receive one percent of the total travel expenses.

He also stated: An arrangement should be made for companies to settle their accounts and pay their debts on a monthly basis.

Saying that Tehran Municipality should take the necessary measures to access the Samas system within two months, Takshri Hashemi noted: If establishing this access requires paying a fee. Tehran Municipality is authorized to pay the expenses related to this work from the source of the revenues of this resolution.

It was also decided that the companies do not have the right to receive this amount from the passenger and must pay it to the municipalities from their own income.
