Ilam Central Prison Art Workshop Produces Exhibition of Quranic Calligraphy Created Behind Bars

“Inscriptions on Silence and Intuition,” an exhibition narrating light from behind prison walls, will be held at Niavaran Cultural Center.

The exhibition "Inscriptions on Silence and Intuition" with the narrative of illumination from behind the prison walls will be held in Niavaran Cultural Center.

According to Ambassador Arjan, citing the public relations of Niavaran Cultural Center, the "Inscriptions on Silence and Intuition" exhibition will be opened on Friday, October 24, 1405, at Gallery No. 2 of Niavaran Cultural Center, with the display of works by the calligrapher and calligrapher Vali Hasanpour.

In this exhibition, about 80 works of Quranic calligraphy and calligraphy are displayed, which were created using the techniques of calligraphy and grounding with acrylic, gouache and ink.

It is worth mentioning, but Hassanpour, while serving his involuntary sentence, activated an art gallery in the central prison of Ilam and created most of his works in that art gallery with a state of mystical intuition.

The exhibition "Inscriptions on Silence and Intuition" is open from October 24th to November 1st, 1405, in the Niavaran Cultural Center, and hosts those interested in the art of calligraphy on Sundays to Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. and on Fridays from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Niavaran Cultural Center libraries are closed on Saturdays.
