Student Basij Must Make Beneficial Knowledge and Ethics Its Core Focus

Zanjan – President of the Zanjan Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences said the Student Basij must prioritize training knowledgeable, ethical personnel with a spirit of service to the people.

According to Ambassador Arjan Saadullah Nasiri Khedari, at the inauguration and introduction ceremony of the Basij student leader of Zanjan University of Basic Sciences, he expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the previous leader of the student Basij and emphasized the necessity of honoring managers and officials.

Stating that the spirit of Basiji is not limited to membership and having a card, he added: "All of us must have the spirit of Basiji in practice and take steps towards serving the people and the country."

Referring to the importance of scientific activities and the relationship between the university and the industry, the president of Zanjan Postgraduate University of Basic Sciences considered the training of scholars and scholarly education as one of the important axes emphasized by Imam Shahid in the field of student mobilization and said: When I was in charge of basic sciences in the UNESCO National Commission, I collected Imam Shahid's views and guidelines about basic sciences, which resulted in the compilation of a book. At that time, we didn't imagine that he had dealt so deeply and accurately with the subject of basic sciences.

Emphasizing the necessity of accompanying science with ethics, Nasiri Khidari stated: science without ethics can serve cruelty and crime; As seen in the behavior of Netanyahu, Trump and their supporters. The mission of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is related to education and our motto in the university is to teach and learn, but the science we pursue must be useful science; A science that serves man, society and human dignity.

Referring to the moral concepts in Molavi's poems, he pointed out: having knowledge, without adhering to ethics and human values, cannot be a measure of human excellence. Humanity is to use our knowledge in the way of serving the people, preserving human dignity and improving the life of the society.

The President of Zanjan Graduate School of Basic Sciences continued by emphasizing the necessity of collective participation in university administration and said: "University management should not be based on one person, but the realization of goals and the advancement of affairs require the cooperation and companionship of all members of the group."

Referring to Mehdi Rahimi Ghahiazi's new responsibility in the university's student mobilization, he added: From today, part of the responsibilities will be given to Mr. Rahimi, and it is expected that he will take steps in the direction of strengthening scientific and cultural activities by complying with the laws, regulations and directives of the university, following the guidelines of the leadership and adhering to the laws of the country.

Nasiri Khidari emphasized: The main focus of the student mobilization activity should be science and the training of specialized and committed personnel, and all members of the university should also cooperate to advance the scientific goals and improve the status of this group.

Referring to the position of the university in realizing the goals of the Islamic system, the head of the student mobilization in Zanjan province added: One of the most important responsibilities that Imam Shahid assigned to the student mobilization in the field of policymaking for the Islamic state is related to the role of the university and its capacity in training effective forces for the administration of the country.

Emphasizing that the student Basij represents Basij's thinking and culture in the university environment, he continued: The link between Basij's capacities and the university's scientific power can be the foundation for the training of committed, expert and efficient forces for the country.

Issa Khani considered the training of the required personnel for the Islamic Revolution as one of the most important missions of the student mobilization and said: This responsibility is not limited to holding government and management positions, but also includes the training of capable forces in the private sector, business and other areas of social and economic activity.
