Ebadi: The cultural war has targeted the foundation of the family and religious identity
Birjand - Interim Friday imam of Birjand, referring to the dimensions of the cultural war, said: weakening religious beliefs and weakening the foundation of the family is one of the axes of the enemies' efforts to damage the social cohesion of Iran.
According to Mehr reporter, Hojjat-ul-Islam Seyyed Mohammad Baqer Ebadi, in his Friday prayer sermons in Birjand, emphasized the need to strengthen the religious and cultural foundations of society and stated: Ashura culture and the way of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) have been one of the most important supports of the Iranian nation to overcome difficulties and stand against the pressures of enemies.
He stated that the enemies use media and propaganda tools to change the cultural identity of the society, and added: Promoting a lifestyle that is contrary to Islamic values and distancing the society from religious beliefs is part of these efforts. Therefore, families should be careful in choosing the cultural patterns and content their children receive.
Referring to the role of foreign media, especially the media attributed to the Zionist regime, in promoting some cultural models, the interim Friday imam of Birjand clarified: preserving the religious and cultural identity of the society requires the awareness of families and serious attention to the education of the young generation.
Hojjat-ul-Islam Ebadi further pointed to the attack on Minab school and the killing of students, and criticized the silence of some foreign media regarding this incident and the attack on educational centers.
He also pointed to the statements of some American officials about Iran's internal developments and said: The predictions that indicated the change in the country's conditions in a short period of time did not come true, and this issue showed that the enemies do not have a precise understanding of Iranian society and the place of religious beliefs among the people.
Emphasizing the necessity of transferring the culture of Ashura and the way of Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) to the young generation, he said: Acquainting young people with their religious and cultural identity can increase their recognition power in the face of media propaganda and soft war.
Stating that the consequences of the culture war go beyond changing the appearance and clothing of people, the temporary imam of Birjand said: Weakening of faith, damaging family relationships, increasing anxiety and decreasing trust and social solidarity are among the consequences that can make the society vulnerable to external pressures.
Emphasis on taking care of behavior and correcting bad habits
In another part of his Friday prayer sermons, Hojjat-ul-Islam Ebadi considered piety and taking care of one's behavior as the requirements of religious life and stated: Getting caught in big sins usually does not happen suddenly, but may start with small behaviors and become a habit with repetition.
Emphasizing the influence of friends and companions on people's behavior, he added: the wrong choice of friends and neglecting the grounds for the formation of bad behavior can lead a person to harmful habits.
Interim Friday imam of Birjand also pointed out the limited life time and emphasized the necessity of avoiding postponing repentance and correcting behavior.
In the final part of his speech, he congratulated Hazrat Zainab (S) on her birthday and Nurse's Day and appreciated the services of nurses, especially during the war.
Hojjat-ul-Islam Ebadi also referred to the parents-teachers bonding day and considered it necessary for families to have continuous communication with schools and said: raising children is a shared responsibility and parents should not leave this responsibility only to the school, but should be in contact with teachers and follow up on their children's educational and educational issues.
