Al-Wahdeh national midfielder claimed that the club managers prevented him from returning to Iran by setting a heavy amount.

Mohammad Ghorbani, the midfielder of Al-Wahdeh UAE team, said about the negotiations for his return to the Premier League: There were offers and negotiations with two clubs, but Al-Wahdeh did not agree. Finally, it was decided to stay in the UAE and continue my contract with the club.

He said about his personal desire to return to Iran: "This matter did not depend only on my interest." The midfielder of the national team explained about the amount requested by Al-Wahdeh for the issuance of his consent: Many people asked me about the amount of the consent. I think they didn't have a definite decision to sell me and put forward a figure that would make it difficult for me to leave. Maybe by announcing this number, they wanted to give an official answer to the club that had written to recruit me.

Ghorbani, in response to the question of whether he had asked Al-Wahdeh's managers to reduce the amount of the consent, said: "The club was not interested in my departure." This year, we have the Asian tournament ahead of us and the club managers want us to get good results in the league as well. For this reason, they preferred me to stay in the team, and I think the amount of the consent letter was determined for the same purpose.

Regarding the possibility of returning to the Iranian League in the half-season, he said: It is not possible to talk about the future with certainty. I have a contract with Al Wahda this season and next season and I am currently a player of this club. I will try my best to do my best and we will see what happens in the future.

Ghorbani said about which Iranian team he has been a fan of since childhood: naturally, every player is a fan of a certain team since childhood and it cannot be hidden, but when you enter professional football, you must give 100% of your strength for each team you play and respect the shirt you are wearing. It is the same for me and in every team, whether inside Iran or abroad, I do my best to provide the best performance.

Persepolis, Tractor, Esteghlal, Sepahan and Foulad have a chance to win the championship. Ghorbani said about the situation of Al Wahda Emirates: We did not start the season well, we had several injured players and we could not play with a fixed lineup. However, we got good results in the last few matches. We have won both our games in the second level of the Asian Champions League and are at the top of the table.

He said about the meeting of the Iranian national team against Russia: The meeting with Russia was a very good match. If it were not for the problems that arose for Russian football and this team could compete in Europe, I say with certainty that it would be among the top 10-12 teams in Europe. They have some high-level players who play in big clubs. Russia had more possession, but we also created good chances according to the wishes of the technical staff and could have scored. Regarding Iran's prospects in the Asian Cup, Ghorbani said: "Definitely, everyone expects the Iranian national team, because our country has always been one of the great powers of Asian football."
