Supporting families plays a role in preventing social harm
Diwandre - Imam Juma of Diwandre said: Strengthening life expectancy, paying attention to mental health and awareness of warning signs of families plays an important role in preventing suicide and reducing social damage.
According to Mehr reporter, Haj Mamosta Jalal Moradi in his Friday prayer sermons this week in Diwandara, referring to the importance of saving human life in religious teachings, stated: In the eyes of Islam, life is a gift from God and a valuable trust, and the protection of human life has a special place in the teachings of the Holy Quran.
Referring to the verses of the Holy Qur'an, he considered saving human life and avoiding any action to take life as important religious principles and added: The Holy Qur'an, in verse 32 of Surah Ma'idah, considers the saving of one human life as the saving of all human beings. An issue that shows the great importance of life and the need to protect it.
Referring to the fact that suicide is one of the major sins in Islamic teachings, Imam Juma of Diwandara clarified: Man should not lose hope when faced with difficulties, but should try to overcome difficulties by relying on faith, taking advantage of the support of those around him, and using appropriate solutions.
Referring to the role of families in preventing social harm, Moradi called for parents to be more aware of behavioral and emotional changes in their children and said: noticeable changes in mood, isolation, sleep and eating disorders, decreased interest in education and daily activities, and frequent talk about death and nothingness are some of the signs that should be taken into account.
He added: Parents and mental health professionals being aware of these symptoms and timely follow-up of the condition of people who are facing mental and emotional problems can be effective in identifying people at risk and preventing adverse consequences.
Referring to some social and family factors related to this injury, Imam Juma Diwandara said: poverty, unemployment, mental pressure, addiction, difficult-to-treat diseases, family disputes and problems related to marriage are among the issues that may affect people's mental conditions and require serious attention from families and responsible institutions.
Strengthening vitality and hope in life is essential
Emphasizing the need to pay attention to mental health, using positive activities and strengthening social connections is effective in increasing vitality and hope and said: choosing worthy friends, healthy sports and recreation, participation in family activities, reading useful books and strengthening spiritual connection with God can help improve people's attitude towards life.
He stated that people in difficult situations should not consider themselves alone, and added: emotional support of the family, talking to trusted people and referring to mental health specialists when facing serious problems are measures that can help overcome crises.
Referring to the position of life preservation in other religions, Imam Juma Diwandre also pointed out: In the teachings of different religions, human life is respected and suicide is condemned as an obscene act.
Pointing to the importance of investigating the individual, family and social roots of suicide, Moradi said: feelings of hopelessness, low self-esteem, identity crisis, psychological pressures and low ability to deal with problems are among the factors that should be taken into consideration in investigating this injury.
Emphasizing the necessity of responsibility of families and professionals in the field of mental health, he added: prevention of this social harm requires increasing public awareness, timely identification of people who need support and providing them with access to specialized services.
