Microsoft, in cooperation with Japan's National Police Agency, has shut down an online black market and two phishing tools that had sent more than a billion malicious messages to users and organizations around the world since the beginning of 2026.

According to Ambassador Arjan and based on the Zomit report, investigations show that a network consisting of the black market "YAM Store" and phishing tools "CoGUI" and "Iron Man" had targeted more than 75 thousand organizations in more than 150 countries. Among the messages sent, more than 750 million messages were designed to reach users of Microsoft products.

By selling fake or stolen accounts and providing ready-made templates to impersonate banks and official institutions, the operators of this network provided the basis for fraud attacks.

In this operation, Microsoft disabled more than 20,000 user accounts related to "YAM Store" and blocked more than 100,000 internet domains. Also, with the cooperation of Health-ISAC cyber security organization, the active domains of these infrastructures were blocked and redirected to other routes.
