Zanjan – The commander of Zanjan Province's police said that public education on theft prevention and countering cyber threats is an effective strategy for reducing crime and ensuring lasting security.

According to Mehr reporter, Sardar Morteza Abbasi said in a gathering of reporters on Thursday afternoon, pointing to the importance of interaction between the police and the media: accurate and responsible information can provide a basis for preventing crimes and improving the sense of security in society by increasing citizens' awareness of harm and threats.

He added: "The police and the media have common goals in different mission and social sectors, and using the capacity of the media to transmit police training, explain security warnings, and inform the public plays an important role in increasing public participation and crime prevention."
