According to Ambassador Arjan Mohammad Mehdi Azizi, the CEO of Shahrban and Harimban Company of Tehran Municipality stated: The plan to organize construction workshops was implemented with the aim of increasing compliance with city rules, removing roadblocks caused by construction activities and preventing nuisance to citizens. During the visits, about 4,500 identified defects and problems were fixed and more than 38,000 square meters of urban crossings were also freed.
Referring to the results of the inspection of licensed buildings, he added: more than 60% of these buildings had met the desired standards in the fields related to the company's mission before the implementation of the plan. With focused measures and double follow-ups, the compliance rate of these standards increased by more than 15% and reached around 75-80%.
The CEO of Shahrban and Hareemban Company of Tehran Municipality said about the supervisory axes of this complex: checking compliance with the requirements related to the building envelope and shelter, preventing the blocking of sidewalks and preventing the dumping of construction materials and items in waterways and public roads, are among the duties of the company's forces in visiting construction workshops. In these visits, the state of compliance with city regulations is checked and deficiencies related to the company's mission are followed up for correction; Expert examination of the strength of the building structure is not the main subject of these missions.
Emphasizing on the continuity of supervision, Azizi stated: More than a thousand people from the forces related to this area are present in the city on a daily basis and visit the buildings and follow up on compliance with the regulations. The implementation of the 21-day plan was also done with the aim of focusing more on problem areas and speeding up the process of identifying and fixing defects, and it does not mean that monitoring is limited to this period of time.
In the end, he emphasized: monitoring of construction workshops and follow-up of violations within the framework of the company's legal duties will continue in order to promote urban discipline, prevent the occupation of public roads and enable safe and easy movement of citizens.
