Putin and Zelensky must meet to resolve the Ukraine conflict, Trump says

The U.S. leader believes Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky "want a deal"

Washington, October 13. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump believes that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky should meet to resolve the Ukraine crisis.

Asked about the prospect of a solution, Trump said: "All I know is that Zelensky and Putin need to get together and end this ridiculous war."

He added: "I think they want to make a deal, but they don't know how."

On September 23, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Zelensky could come to Moscow if he wanted to meet with the Russian leadership and receive security guarantees.
