Alamolhoda: Religious Education of Army Soldiers Requires Motivational Methods
MASHHAD – The Supreme Leader's Representative in Razavi Khorasan emphasized the need to strengthen the army's religious faith and use motivational methods for the religious and moral education of soldiers.
According to the report of the ambassador of Arjan, Ayatollah Seyed Ahmad Alam Elhadi, in a meeting with a group of ideological political workers of the North-East Base, referring to the role of political ideological organization in the formation of the religious identity of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, emphasized the need to pay special attention to the religious and moral training of soldiers and to use motivational and communication methods to strengthen their religious beliefs.
The representative of Wali Faqih in Khorasan Razavi expressed his appreciation for the presence of a group of scholars, commanders and ideological political workers of the North-East camp and said: I hope the Almighty God will place all of you dear ones as valuable reserves of Islam in the holy military and defense organization of the Shia in today's world, i.e. the valiant and proud army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Stating that the formation of the ideological political organization of the army is a turning point in the history of this military institution, he clarified: This important feature in the history of the emergence and emergence of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army has not been paid attention to as it should be.
Referring to the dependence of the army on the tyrannical regime and the American trend before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Alam Al-Hadi said: At that time, the commander of NATO came to Iran as the successor of the Shah from the United States to govern the country according to the wishes of the United States and suppress the revolution. Initially, NATO military forces were supposed to enter the country; Because it was thought that the army forces depended on the people and could not oppress the people as they should.
The representative of Wali Faqih in Khorasan, Razavi added: When the commander of NATO observed the parade of officers and soldiers of the Imperial Guard in Ishratabad Barracks in Tehran, which is now called Wali Asr Barracks, he announced that there is no need to import troops from abroad and that with this guard, the people can be suppressed and the tyrannical system can be continued. But after a few days, he was disappointed to achieve this goal.
Referring to the role of the army in the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he said: The army and especially the zealous and courageous air force were one of the main factors in the victory of the revolution, and the heroic and revolutionary comrades also played an effective role in this direction. With the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the imperial army fell and its previous structure was destroyed; The people won, they entered the barracks and took possession of the weapons, and the military forces were also on the side of the people. In this way, the Islamic revolution won and the tyrannical system was overthrown.
Alam Al-Hadi continued: On April 29, based on the order of Imam Khomeini (RA), the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran was formed and the existing facilities were organized with the efforts of religious and believing commanders. The Supreme Leader of the Martyr, on behalf of Imam Khomeini (RA), who, according to our belief, was in charge of the commander-in-chief, was assigned to organize the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The representative of Wali Faqih in Khorasan, Razavi noted: The design and organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army was done with the planning of the Supreme Leader of Shahid, and in a space of about five months, the army became a coherent and powerful force in the field of defense. As a result of this organization, the plan of the hypocrite and atheist groups, who were trying to destroy the army and provide the basis for American and Soviet domination over the country, was foiled.
The role of measures taken by the Supreme Leader of the Martyr in the formation of the religious identity of the army
He stated that after the integration of the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, institutionalizing religion and piety among the forces and in the structure of the army was on the agenda, and stated: The main issue was how to transform the army into an Islamic army and put it on the path of defending Islamic religion and values. Also, a mechanism should be provided for this army to move in the direction of the holy ideals of Imam Zaman (AS).
Alam Al-Hadi added: In this regard, the Supreme Leader of the Martyr, by designing the political ideological organization of the army, provided a basis for this military institution to find a religious and Islamic identity and to be on the path of defending Islam and religious values. The formation of this organization was a turning point in the history of the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was realized with his planning, as the representative of Imam Khomeini (RA) in the army.
The representative of the religious jurist in Khorasan, Razavi, referring to the previous experiences of the Supreme Leader of the Martyr in relation to the military forces and pious commanders of the army, stated: Before the victory of the Islamic Revolution and even before the beginning of the final stage of the revolutionary struggle in 1356, he was in contact with a number of pious army officers, including Colonel Katiba and other officers. These people, who were mainly in the rank of colonel and below, attended educational and research meetings and during their travels from Mashhad to Tehran, they gathered in some confidential meetings.
He continued: The purpose of these communications was to create movement within the army and weaken the Shah's regime's reliance on this military institution. Because the Shah trusted the army and America also relied on it. The Supreme Leader of Shahid had started this movement before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and due to the sensitivity of the issue, except for a few special people, no one was aware of these communications.
Referring to the sensitivity of revolutionary activities among the religious forces of the army, Alam Al-Hadi stated: If these connections were revealed at that time, not only that movement would have been destroyed, but the Shah would have engaged in mass killings among the religious forces of the army. Even people who were not directly related to this flow could be exposed to the encounter; Because the regime was worried about the existence of religious forces among the army staff and commanders and considered their religiosity as a factor for the possibility of an army uprising against the king.
The representative of the jurist in Khorasan, Razavi, referring to the Shah's dealings with one of the army commanders who had virtues, added: The Shah had told him to shave his virtues and stated that he was afraid of his beard. Because he considered virtues as a sign of religiosity and feared the presence of religious military forces in his army.
He also mentioned the incident of the Tehran Officers' Club on the day of Ashura and said: In that incident, a large number of people were killed, and this incident caused the king and the courtiers to worry about the state of the army. The intelligence agencies of the regime tried to identify the main agents of this action, but they did not reach a clear result and only two people were arrested, and there was doubt about their role. Other factors and connections of this flow were not revealed to the regime's intelligence apparatus.
Alam Al-Hadi stated: The collection of these experiences, along with the knowledge that the supreme leader of the martyr had about the pious troops and commanders of the army, was effective in organizing the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Therefore, after the decision of Imam Khomeini (RA) to hand over the representation of the General Command in the army to him, the organization of the army was done based on these experiences and measures, and one of the first measures was the establishment of a political ideological organization.
