US Rejects Kyiv's Request to End Attacks on Russian Refineries

US negotiators stressed that Washington "has already done a lot for Ukraine."

New York, October 13. /TASS/. The New York Times quoted sources as saying that American negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have told Ukrainian representatives that they do not intend to offer anything in exchange for stopping attacks on Russian oil refineries.

When asked by a Ukrainian representative during Friday's talks in Miami what Kiev would get in return, US negotiators replied that Washington had "already done a lot for Ukraine" and should not be forced to make a deal for Ukraine to stop attacks on its refinery.

The newspaper's sources added that some in the room heard Kushner and Witkoff's words as a veiled threat. US negotiators noted that US intelligence assistance is vital to Ukraine.

On October 13, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that Ukraine did not receive any notification from the United States about the launch of Russian missiles last night.
