Today, the memorandum of cooperation between the Center of Lawyers, Official Experts and Family Counselors of the Judiciary was signed with the Organization of Nomadic Affairs of Iran.

According to Mehr reporter, today, Monday 20th of Mehr 1405, a press conference of the head of Iran's Nomadic Affairs Organization was held at the place of this organization.

Jahanbakhsh Mirzavand, head of Iran's Nomadic Affairs Organization, announced the signing of a memorandum of cooperation with the Center of Lawyers, Official Experts and Family Counselors of the Judiciary with the aim of improving the access of the nomadic community to legal and judicial services.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony of this memorandum, he emphasized the need to solve the legal challenges of the nomads and stated: The nomadic community of the country, like the rural communities, have their own needs and social relationships, which face special legal and judicial issues in the course of daily life and migration process.

Limited access of nomads to legal and judicial services

He added: "Unfortunately, the penetration rate of judicial protection and legal pursuits in nomadic areas is very low." Many of the cases filed against the nomads face serious problems in the course of proceedings due to the distance from the urban centers and the lack of easy access to lawyers and experts.

Mirzavand clarified: With the aim of organizing this situation and benefiting the nomadic community from technical, scientific and institutional support, a memorandum of understanding was concluded between the Organization of Nomadic Affairs and the Center of Lawyers and Experts of the Judiciary.

The Head of Nomadic Affairs Organization stated: Based on this agreement, from now on, all the legal issues and challenges of nomads will be pursued in the form of this memorandum and with the support of specialized legal and judicial institutions, in order to witness the realization of justice and facilitate the access of nomads to legal consulting services.

In this ceremony, while appreciating the presence and cooperation of the officials of the Judiciary Lawyers Center, it was emphasized on the continuation of these cooperations to protect the rights of the productive nomadic community.

In another part of his speech, the head of Iran's Nomadic Affairs Organization listed the "geographical distance between cold and hot regions" as one of the most important challenges in dealing with nomadic judicial cases and said: "In the pattern of nomadic life, sometimes the distance between Yilaq and Qeshlaq reaches more than 1,000 kilometers." According to the law, judicial cases must be filed and processed at the place where the crime or accident occurred; This issue makes the nomads have to travel long distances between summer and gheshlagh areas to pursue a case, which is a very exhausting and costly process.

Reducing the costs of proceedings and commuting of nomads with the implementation of the memorandum

Referring to the implementation importance of this memorandum, Mirzavand stated: This agreement is a very valuable and effective measure for the nomadic community in line with the social responsibilities of the Judiciary Lawyers Center. With the implementation of this plan, not only the defense of legal cases will be entrusted to experts and experts, but also the exorbitant travel expenses and administrative and judicial wanderings for nomads on the move will be minimized.

In the end, the Deputy Minister of Jihad Agriculture expressed hope for the effectiveness of this memorandum and stated: This action is a concrete example of fulfilling the social responsibility of the judiciary towards a group that needs specialized legal services more than ever. While thanking the officials of the Lawyers Center for their positive attitude, we hope that this cooperation will bring brilliant results for the industrious nomadic community and finally the general good for the noble nation of Iran.

It should be noted that at the end of the joint cooperation agreement between the Center of Lawyers, Official Experts and Family Counselors of the Judiciary was signed with the Organization of Nomadic Affairs of Iran.
