Apple has apparently replaced the Apple Music icon with a black and white design in the iOS 27.2 beta. The new red icon replaces the current version and displays musical notes in black on a white background in light mode and white on a black background in dark mode.

According to 9to5Mac, in the new icon, the music note angle also looks a little sharper than the previous version. This change has been observed while a new Apple Music logo was seen on the Apple Music Hall website last month. It is possible that Apple will adjust its appearance with the new logo by changing the app icon.

The visual changes are apparently not limited to the icon. According to 9to5Mac, the Apple Music widgets also have a black background. A user on the X social network has published images of the new icon in different color modes, including a colored version.

If the black-and-white icon makes its way to the general version of iOS, users will probably still be able to make it look closer to the previous red version by using the ability to colorize the home screen icons. However, it is not yet clear whether these changes will be presented in the final version of the operating system.
