Save $1000 on MSI Vector HX 16 RTX 5080 Gaming Laptop with Lots of RAM and SSD

The RTX 5080 GPU has a maximum TGP of 175 watts (in principle you'd expect higher performance).

Walmart just launched one of the best deals I've seen this year on high-end gaming laptops. For a limited time, you can pick up the MSI Vector HX 16-inch Gaming Laptop with GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for $2,299 with free shipping after a $1,000 instant rebate. If the RTX 5080's powerful GPU didn't convince you enough, perhaps the 32GB of SDRB2 memory is too much. Generous specs for a laptop at this price.

It also has 32 GB DDR5 RAM and 2 TB SSD

The MSI Vector HX laptop is a high-end gaming laptop with some great specs. For starters, the 16-inch IPS display has a 2560x1600 189ppi resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and G-Sync compatibility. The CPU is Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX with a maximum turbo frequency of 5.4 GHz with 24 total cores. It's an outstanding processor for both gaming and workstation tasks.

The RTX 5080 Mobile GPU is roughly 15-20% more powerful than the RTX 5070 Ti. Compared to previous generation GPUs, it's actually slightly more powerful than the RTX 4090, and if the game supports DLSS 4.5, it goes even further. You should be able to run any game at a constant frame rate of 60+fps at 2.5K resolution, even the latest titles like Control: Resonant and Crimson Desert.

This laptop is also equipped with 32 GB RAM and 2 TB SSD. These are some generous specs and you don't need to add much more yourself, which is great news given how expensive flash-based storage is today.
