Despite the increase in sports fields;

Esteghlal Club has been managed by a supervisor for more than 14 months, and although the current affairs of the club have been followed well during this period, there is still no news of the introduction of a new CEO.

According to Mehr reporter, Esteghlal Club has been under the leadership of Ali Tajernia for more than a year, and although 14 months have passed since he started his position in this position, a specific time has not been announced for the introduction of the new CEO of the club by Malik Abiposhan Holding, a matter that has still left the status of the executive management of one of Iran's largest football clubs in an aura of uncertainty.

In August 1404, while he was the chairman of the board of directors of Esteghlal Club, Ali Tajernia was elected as the acting CEO of this club and replaced Ali Nazari Joibari. Since then, in addition to being the chairman of the board of directors, Tajernia has also been in charge of acting as the CEO of Esteghlal, and despite the passage of more than 14 months, a new CEO has not yet been announced for this club.

During this period, the issue of choosing the CEO of Esteghlal has been raised many times and the names of various options have been mentioned as possible options for this position, but so far the final decision has not been announced by the holding company that owns the club so that Esteghlal continues to operate with a management structure based on supervision.

Consecutive changes in the board of directors of Esteghlal

In addition to not appointing the CEO, the composition of Esteghlal Club's board of directors has been accompanied by several changes in the past months. Alireza Asadi, Farideh Shojaei and Mahmoudreza Babaei were among the people who left the club's board of directors at different times. Before the announcement of the new composition of the board of directors, Seyed Hossein Alavi Moghadam and Ali Nazari Joibari left this group so that Ali Taghernia is the only person remaining from the composition of the previous board of directors who is still present in the management structure of the club.

Tajernia continues to operate in a situation where he is both the chairman of the board of directors and the head of the managing director of Esteghlal. This situation has continued while there have been many changes in the composition of the board of directors in the past months, and it was expected that the decision-making process about the executive management of the club would be completed with the identification of new members.

The CEO is still waiting to be selected

The Assembly of Esteghlal Club was held on 22 September, and during it, five legal members of the board of directors who were also present in the previous term, were elected as legal members again. Based on the decision of this assembly, the selected companies had 15 days to nominate their representatives to attend the board of directors, which was done. In the continuation of this process, Hamidreza Sadeghipour, Mostafa Motdin, Hossein Hosseinzadeh and Mohammadreza Najafi were introduced as new members of the board of directors of Esteghlal Club, in order to form the new management composition of this club.

However, the identification of the members of the board of directors has not yet led to the introduction of a new CEO. In the past months, the name of Mustafa Metdin has been mentioned as the final choice of Malik Holding for the position of CEO of Esteghlal, but despite this issue, he has not yet been officially selected and introduced as the CEO of the club.

In this way, Esteghlal has entered the new months of its activity in a situation where both the composition of its board of directors has been changed and the possible choice of its CEO is still waiting for the final decision. Although the appointment of board members can provide the basis for management decisions, until the new CEO is officially introduced, the status of supervisor will continue at the head of the club's executive management.

Independence requires the determination of managerial duties

The continuation of these conditions for a club in the dimensions of independence has raised questions about the timing of the management decisions of the owner holding. Apart from participating in Premier League and Asian competitions, Esteghlal is facing various issues in the field of transfers, player contracts, technical planning and financial affairs. Issues that require continuous decision-making and coordination between different parts of the club.

Now, more than 14 months have passed since the election of Tajernia as acting CEO and after numerous changes in the board of directors, eyes are once again focused on the decision of Malik Esteghlal Holding. A decision that can end the long-term uncertainty at the head of the club's executive management and provide the ground for the determination of Esteghlal's management plans for the rest of the season.
