Emphasizing the need to improve the living conditions of nurses, the member of the social commission said: "The parliament supports the implementation of special measures for nurses, the amendment of their tariffs and legal provisions, and the elimination of the shortage of nursing staff."
In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Ahmad Fatemi, referring to the promise of Ahmed Midari, the Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare and Gholamhossein Mohammadi, the head of the Social Security Organization, to hold an exam for the recruitment of 4 thousand nurses, to amend the legal regulations for nurses and to implement the tariffs for nursing services, said: "Upgrading the rights of healthcare workers, especially nurses, is our red line." The social commission of the parliament is trying to seriously pursue the extraordinary special implementation for nurses and paramedics.
Emphasizing the necessity of increasing the salaries of nurses, he added: The head of the program and budget organization must implement the president's order for special special payments for nurses. According to the announcement of the relevant committee, the special extraordinary amount is 20,600 points, equivalent to about 14 million Tomans, for the executive bodies, including the Ministry of Health, the health and treatment staff, nurses and convalescents.
Fatemi reminded: The extremely specific issue is mentioned in the 7th Development Plan Law and the Budget Law, so we expect the head of the Planning and Budget Organization not to resist the implementation of this legal decision. In this context, the parliament will also pursue the implementation of legal approvals to improve the legal status of employees, especially medical staff and nurses.
The member of the Social Commission of the Islamic Council continued: According to Article 125 of the Civil Service Management Law, the salary increase of the employees must be proportional to the inflation, so it is expected that the organization of the program and budget will fulfill its duty.
Referring to the salary situation of nurses working in social security treatment centers, he said: The salaries of nurses in clinics and hospitals under social security should be increased, and this issue is one of the demands of the parliament and the social commission.
Regarding the program to recruit 4,000 nurses in social security, Fatemi said: Considering the shortage of nurses, we welcome the action of the Ministry of Labor and the Social Security Organization to recruit 4,000 nurses. In this regard, nursing salaries and tariffs should be amended, and the Social Security Organization has announced that it is taking measures in this regard and that the rulings will be amended soon.
